The Paladin Code of Honor

The Paladin Code of Honor is a set of rules which we, as Artrimas' chosen warriors, must abide to. The reason for having a Code is to give us guidelines to follow to be the best Paladins we can be, and to be a Guild that Astarians will look up to. These guidelines will help keep us organized and present a united front to the rest of Astaria. Of course we will all have differences every once in a while, that is only natural. But if we all do whatever we want to, acting chaotically and not presenting ourselves to the Astarians as a united guild, we will never grow.

It is the Guildmaster's job to enforce this Code, and decide upon the punishment if a member of the guild breaks it, as he or she sees fit. A listing of the punishments are given at the bottom of this page.

1.) A Paladin may not harm/attack/kill a fellow Paladin, period. The only exception to this is when dispensing summary justice, as called for by only the Guildmaster. This includes ridiculing or verbally harassing any Paladin, either on the Guild lines, through tells, says, Clan lines, Astarian line, or any form of communication inside this mud.

2.) A Paladin may not instigate the harming/attacking/killing of a fellow Paladin period. This includes setting up a contract killing of another Paladin. If one Paladin sets up the death of another Paladin, the first Paladin will be punished quite harshly.

3.) A Paladin should not, harm/attack/kill anyone else without a valid reason. I.e. The guild will not back a Paladin up if he or she is rude, or being a general pain to others. Depending on the severity of what is done, disciplinary actions may be taken, from vault banning or exile to death without a rez.

4.) The Guild line should be secure in that generally what is discussed on it is not talked about with any non-Paladin. The main reason for this is to protect any Paladins from being punished or persecuted for any ideas or thoughts that they may express on the Guild line. The Guild line is not meant for non-Guild members to view. A breach of the line may very easily result in you, as a Paladin, breaking both Codes number one and two (see above) So, if you feel the need to tell a non-Paladin something that has been discussed on the Paladin line, and it leads to another Paladin being hunted, killed or otherwise harassed, expect to be punished.

5.) Paladins are encouraged to help stock the guild vaults. Paladins who do help out stocking the vaults should be given preference in borrowing gear. This doesn't mean those who don't stock can't use gear, if we have an abundance of that gear, it's perfectly alright. But if there is a shortage of a certain type of gear, those who do stock should get first priority to use it.

6.) Equipment that can fit into a Personal Vault does not get stored into the Guild vault, unless that equipment is enhanced, such as sharpened and/or tempered Paladin Longswords, charmed dark greaves, etc. Any pvault equipment that is found at any time inside the gvaults will be trashed. The gvaults are for equipment that is useful and can not be stored into a pvault, or for pvault armor that is too heavy to be conveniently stored in one, like oyoroi or elf chain hauberks. Junk equipment also has no place in the gvaults, such as wooden pipes, loincloths, junk stones, beer, flowers, etc. Again, any equipment such as this will be trashed. If any equipment needs to be trashed in this manner, the Paladin who stored it will be reminded of this section of the Code. If it is repeated, he or she will be vault banned for a few days. If it is repeated after that, more stern measures will be taken.

7.) Any Paladin caught to be sitting on a unique under the false pretense that it is for the Guild, when in fact the Paladin is obtaining the unique for his or her clan, for personal use, etc. will be punished as the Guildmaster sees fit.

Any transgressions to the Code will be dealt with in a timely manner. The Guildmaster will have the final say in any and all judgements passed down. These judgements will be fair, according to both the severity and/or repitition of the breach.

Valid punishments are (in no particular order based on the breach)

-Loss of Guild vault priveledges for anywhere from one day to indefinately

-Loss of Guild line priveledges for anywhere from one day to indefinately

-Exiling from the Guild Hall for anywhere from one day to indefinately

-Death with or without a rez

-Other more drastic measures after all others have been exhausted
